    Family & Tradition

    • The business was founded in the 1920ies. Despite of many changes, the company is still run by the same family.

    • In the 19th century, Therese Mölk fights for her right to operate her own store. 80 years later her business becomes MPREIS.

    • In 1920, the almost 50-year-old Therese Mölk opens her first store in Innsbruck at Viaduktbogen 11.

    • Together with her husband and her children, the ambitious businesswoman opens one store after the other.

    • Therese Mölk buys the former Royal and Imperial Military Bakery at Dreiheiligenstrasse in Innsbruck and creates a distinctive brand with Mölk Bread.

    • In the summer of 1974, the first MPREIS store opens at Andechstrasse in Innsbruck. The self-service supermarket replaces the traditional grocery store.
