WHAT MEANS “HEALTHY” NUTRITION?

According to nutrition science, healthy nutrition consists of a diet that supplies the body with all necessary nutrients. This includes a proper balance of energy suppliers such as proteins, fats and carbohydrates, and other important nutrients like vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. Other important components include water, aromatic substances, flavours and dietary fibre.

"OUR FOOD SHALL BE OUR MEDICINE AND OUR MEDICINE SHALL BE OUR FOOD" HIPPOCRATES

A conscious lifestyle and healthy nutrition reduces the risk of illnesses and promotes health and productivity. Dogmatism is inappropriate since there is no such thing as "the" healthy nutrition.  It is neither necessary to totally avoid some foods nor to consume others in excessive amounts. The division into "good" and "bad" foods is also of little use. Healthy nutrition is much more a question of consuming appropriate amounts, no matter whether fat, alcohol, salt or sugar are concerned. It is important to listen and to trust the signals of one’s own body since there is no standard recipe for healthy nutrition that could be applied to everybody, because everybody is different! This is particularly true for digestion and nutrition.

FOOD FOR LIFE & THE WAY TO THE HEART |THAT GOES THROUGH THE STOMACH...

Our modern society has widely lost touch with the foods that supply our bodies. We buy high-grade motor oil for our cars, yet we use cheap cooking oil from discount markets for our salad. Meat is consumed in large amounts and the transport routes in food production have a massive impact on the environment. A responsible use of food products and conscious decisions in the grocery store automatically lead to a healthier and more balanced diet that is more pleasurable and enjoyable!
