WHY ORGANIC?

In organic farming, quality is more important than quantity

Organic farmers work in harmony with nature: the core idea of organic farming is the ideal of a closed and natural cycle that includes humans, animals and the natural environment.

Plants flourish without chemicals

Organic farming renounces on synthetic chemical substances (such as fertilizers or pesticides).

Respecting animal rights

Species-specific husbandry and feeding increase the animal’s quality of life and their life expectancy! The EU-Eco-Regulation guarantees all animals living conditions according to the needs of their species. This includes fresh air, plenty of space and sufficient free-range conditions, optimum hygiene and species-specific, healthy organic foodstuffs.

No preventive use of medication (antibiotics, hormones, etc.)

Organically bred animals are not treated with growth enhancers or hormones.

Less is more

Only one tenth of the permitted additives and auxiliaries are used in organic production.

Genetic engineering? No thanks!

Organic quality does not require support from genetic engineering. Organic production and processing is in harmony with nature and not against it.
For the preservation of our environment… in the interest of our children
Organic farming stands for a responsible use of natural resources – it protects soil, water and air, promotes the natural fertility of the soil and protects biodiversity. To preserve a good quality of live for our children!

For a healthy body, spirit and soul!

The respectful and sustainable food production is responsible for the high quality of organic products. For instance, the content of secondary plant substances is 10 - 50 % higher than in conventional products. Secondary substances protect the organism against cancer and strengthen the immune system.  Furthermore, they help regulate blood pressure and inhibit bacteria growth. As a rule of thumb: eating fruit and vegetables five times a day ensures sufficient supply with nature’s miracle medicine.

Organic products simply taste better!

Organic quality is the right choice for everybody who is looking for wholesome, natural food with a rich flavour.

Organic for the people

Our daily food is fuel for our bodies, it is important for our wellbeing, supplies us with energy, prevents diseases and influences the organism in many other ways. Good nutrition that begins in childhood increases the quality of life, reduces the frequency of illnesses as well as allergic reactions.
However, you can always benefit from changing your diet and switching to organic products, even at a later stage.

Constant competition and low-price offers, particularly from discount chains, are the reason for an increase of “inexpensive” food products. Since the price of a product is still the main factor in the customer’s decision making, even conventional food retailers now offer food at discount prices.

Many of these articles contain numerous additives such as artificial flavours, starch, flour and chemical preservatives. These substances reduce the cost of production but may cause reactions such as allergies or food intolerance. The effects are often delayed and do not appear until an advanced age. Furthermore, this mass production is detrimental to the environment.

The use of organic products is primarily associated with healthy nutrition. However, organic production is also important for our environment. Organic farming renounces on chemical pest control (fungicides, herbicides, insecticides and other pesticides), synthetic growth enhancers, chemical fertilizers, genetically manipulated crops and exposure to radiation. Organic foods are produced without flavour enhancers. The use of natural and nature-identical aromas is permitted.

Synthetic fertilizers and pesticides have a negative effect on the soil and the environment, they enter biological cycles and contribute substantially to environmental pollution.

Synthetic growth enhancers (e.g. hormones) are used to increase the yield in conventional farming. They permit a so-called “turbo cow” to produce up to 15.000 litres of milk and more per year. A cow that is kept by an organic farmer on alpine pastures produces between 5.000 and 6.000 litres per year. Furthermore, cows on organic farms enjoy a significantly longer and more pleasant life, since the poor and monotonous nutrition of high-performance cows causes diseases and reduce the animal's quality of life of the.  These additives also influence the quality (not to be confused with the taste) of the final product.

One important factor of organic farming is that it provides significantly more space and areas for the animals.

Organic for the producers

Organic farming and the production of organic foods are labour and time intensive. At the same time it gives the farmer the opportunity to achieve higher prices for his products.

Every organic product that is sold contributes to maintaining these structures and encourages its producer to stay on this often difficult path.

Particularly small traditional farms make an important contribution for the preservation of our environment and our healthy nutrition. These farmers often use traditional crafts and a lot of commitment in producing and marketing their products.

PARTICULARLY IN FRESH MEAT, THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ORGANICALLY FED ANIMALS AND MASS PRODUCTION IS VISIBLE, TANGIBLE AND CAN BE TASTED
